Annotations provide an explanation or comment at a specific time in the case. Annotations can be used to note the conditions in which the case was recorded and the actions taken by the crew. When you add an annotation, the event is marked by an annotation icon
in the ‘Event timeline’ and the ‘Playback and editing’ section. The supporting text displays next to the annotation icon.


Add an Annotation
- Locate the place in the case in which you want to insert an annotation. Click the time on the ECG strip and then click the add icon (plus).

Click the 'Add' field and select 'Annotation'.


- Time: This field displays the time you clicked on the ECG strip. Adjust the time if needed.
- Text: Enter the comment or note. This supporting text displays next to the annotation icon.
- Click Add.
Note: After you click 'Add', the save icon enables. You must click the save icon to save your changes or they will be lost when you close the editor or when you leave the Playback page.
Edit an Annotation
- On the ECG strip, click the annotation to enter into the edit mode on the Editor Toolbar.
- Time: Click this field to modify the annotation time.
- Text: Click this field to modify or change the supporting text.
- Click Update.
- Click Save.
Note: After you click ‘Update’, the save icon enables. You must click the save icon to save your changes or they will be lost when you close the editor or when you leave the Playback page.
Delete an Annotation
- On the ECG strip, click the annotation to enter into the edit mode on the Editor Toolbar.
- Click Delete.

On the confirmation message, click Delete.

Note: After you click 'Delete', the save icon enables. You must click the save icon to save your changes or they will be lost when you close the editor or when you leave the Playback page.
